dc.description.abstractBetween 1999 and 2002, Ipea (Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada) and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) established a fruitful relationship under the Joint Study Project on Institutional Development of Macroeconomic Planning. The Project’s overall goal was to reinforce IPEA’s capability in the analysis of economic policies. In accordance with the basic needs and resources of both parties, the project’s specific objectives aimed at three major areas: macroeconometric modeling, social security and consumer behaviour.
