Abstract

"Climate change and the economy are closely linked. Scientific evidence has shown that climate change is unequivocal and is due to the anthropic activity of increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the atmosphere. Therefore, it can be inferred that it is caused by the emissions resulting from the exercise of economic activities. The main drivers of increased GHG emissions are the combustion of fossil fuels and land-use change (IPCC 2007)". (...)

"A mudança do clima e a economia estão intimamente ligadas. Evidências científicas mostraram que a mudança do clima é inequívoca e que decorre da ação antrópica do aumento da concentração de gases de efeito de estufa (GEE) na atmosfera. Desse modo, se pode inferir que tem como causa as emissões provocadas pelo exercício das atividades econômicas. Os principais fatores de aumento das emissões de GEE são a combustão de combustíveis fósseis e a mudança de uso da terra (IPCC, 2007)". (...)
