Analysis of the supply and quality of social protection services in Bahia

Abstract

This Policy Research Brief presents the main results and recommendations of studies on the supply and quality of Social Protection Services in the Brazilian state of Bahia, carried out by the IPC-IG in partnership with the Superintendency of Social Assistance (SAS) of the Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Social Development (SJDHDS) of the Government of Bahia.This Policy Research Brief presents the main results and recommendations of studies on the supply and quality of Social Protection Services in the Brazilian state of Bahia, carried out by the IPC-IG in partnership with the Superintendency of Social Assistance (SAS) of the Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Social Development (SJDHDS) of the Government of Bahia.

Este Policy Research Brief traz os principais achados e as principais recomendações encontrados nos estudos sobre a análise do panorama da oferta e qualidade dos serviços de Proteção Social da Bahia, realizados em parceria com a Superintendência de Assistência Social (SAS), da Secretaria de Justiça, Direitos Humanos e Desenvolvimento Social (SJDHDS) do Governo do estado. Para tanto, foram construídos indicadores a partir de bases de dados sobre o Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS) com informações relacionadas a equipamentos e a serviços oferecidos no estado para a Proteção Social Básica e Especial. Como não há uma base de dados sobre a percepção dos usuários do sistema de Proteção Social, para avaliar a qualidade do serviço, foram escolhidas algumas dimensões, como estrutura física e características do corpo de profissionais dos equipamentos.
