Socialprotection.org Annual Report 2016

Abstract

"The date of 12 September 2015 marked the United Nations International Day for South-South Cooperation. It also marked the launch of socialprotection.org. This member-based online platform is dedicated to social protection, which is a policy approach that impacts millions of poor and vulnerable people worldwide. The goal of socialprotection.org is to foster knowledge-sharing and capacitystrengthening on efficient social protection policies and programmes, by drawing on the experiences of low-income (LICs) and middle-income (MICs) countries. It is hoped that by providing a platform to support such initiatives, the lives of these people can be improved, ensuring no one is left behind". (...)
