Abstract
It describes the changes that have occurred in the relationship between wages and education in Brazil. It highlights the importance of investing in education for economic growth, and this relationship between education and wages shows how the labor market associates education with profits. It uses data from the PNADs for the periods 1976–79 and 1981–89.
