Abstract
O presente trabalho discute os fatores que impulsionam e diferenciam o crescimento do agronegócio no Brasil. Estão subjacentes a essa preocupação as perguntas sobre qual é o modelo de crescimento do agronegócio e quais são os fatores associados ao seu desempenho. O trabalho parte de indicadores que mostram o desempenho e a importância desse segmento e mostra em seguida um painel de reformas de políticas macroeconômicas e setoriais que formam o cenário sobre o qual as atividades produtivas organizaram-se nos últimos anos. Adiante, são analisados os principais fatores explicativos do sucesso do agronegócio como Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento, Financiamento e Organização do Agronegócio; finalmente, inferem-se algumas lições do desempenho desse importante segmento da economia brasileira.

This paper discusses the factors that stimulate and differentiate the growth of agribusiness in Brazil. Related to these concerns, there are questions about the agribusiness growth model and the factors associated with its performance. The paper starts with indicators that show the performance and relevance of agribusiness. Subsequently, this paper highlights a panel of reforms that were aimed at changing not only macroeconomic but also sector policies. It was against this background that the development of economic activities took place in the last years. The paper also analyzes the main factors that led to the success of agribusinesses like Research & Development Financing and Organization of Agribusiness. Finally, the paper draws lessons learned from the performance of the agribusiness.
