Abstract
Este artigo apresenta algumas propostas para introduzir mecanismos de precificação na gestão de resíduos sólidos nas atividades de geração e reciclagem de resíduos de embalagens no Brasil, com base em estimativas do benefício social da reciclagem. Esses mecanismos oferecem oportunidades para adotar instrumentos fiscais já existentes e em discussão em projetos de lei, visando aprimorar a eficiência e a equidade nos mercados de embalagens e reciclagem no país.

This paper presents some proposals to introduce pricing mechanisms for solid waste management in the activities of generation and recycling of packaging waste in Brazil, based on estimates of the social benefit of recycling. These mechanisms provide opportunities to adopt fiscal tools already in place and under discussion in legislative bills to enhance efficiency and equity in the packaging and recycling markets in the country.
