Abstract
Este artigo analisa a dinâmica da integração regional recente na Ásia, as políticas públicas a ela vinculadas (policies), bem como a correlação de forças políticas (politics) e econômicas relacionadas a esse processo. Nesse sentido, destaca-se na última década o papel da China como principal articulador dos arranjos regionais e promotor do adensamento institucional. Analisa-se, ainda, as contingências recentes a esse processo integrador, quais sejam, a desaceleração da economia mundial, a partir de 2008, e a onda de mega-acordos regionais de comércio, que perpassam a região denominada Ásia-Pacífico.

This article analyzes the dynamics of recent regional integration in Asia, the related government policies, as well as the politics, correlation of political and economic forces related to this process. In this sense, it stands out in the last decade, China’s role as the main articulator of regional arrangements and promoter of institutional enhacement. Furthermore, we analyze the recent contingencies in this integration process, namely, the slowdown of the world economy from 2008, and the wave of mega-regional trade agreements, that permeate the region called Asia-Pacific.
