Abstract

The article explores the challenges posed by the climate crisis in vulnerable territories, highlighting the importance of housing improvements (MH) and technical assistance for social housing (Athis) in Brazil. The text highlights how urban segregation and the historical exclusion of black and indigenous populations intensify inequalities in access to infrastructure and climate protection, covering issues such as environmental justice and racism, and showing how the impacts of the climate crisis fall disproportionately on the most vulnerable. By critically analyzing the relationship of the topic with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the MH and Athis, the article argues for the need for integrated public policies that promote equity in territories and adaptation of habitability conditions to new climate challenges.
