Abstract
Este trabalho investiga a evolução do poder de compra em uma das mais importantes frentes de expansão urbana do Espírito Santo entre os anos de 2010 e 2022, comparando-a com diversos estados brasileiros. Os resultados obtidos apontam que o poder aquisitivo da população dos estados brasileiros analisados diminuiu ao longo dos anos e que o valor da cesta básica ainda não conseguiu atender os pressupostos constitucionais quanto ao comprometimento do salário-mínimo com a alimentação. Na análise da evolução dos preços da cesta básica de alimentos numa perspectiva local (nível de bairros), os resultados demonstram que a mudança de estabelecimento para realização das compras pode proporcionar vantagens (economia) de até 20,5% no valor das compras.

This work investigates the evolution of purchasing power in one of the most important urban expansion fronts in Espírito Santo between 2010 and 2022, comparing it with several Brazilian states. The results obtained indicate that the purchasing power of the population of the analyzed Brazilian states has decreased over the years and that the value of the basic basket has not yet managed to meet the constitutional assumptions regarding the commitment of the minimum wage to the food item. In the analysis of the evolution of basic food basket prices from a local perspective (neighborhood level), the results demonstrate that the change of establishment for shopping can provide advantages (savings) of up to 20.5% in the value of purchases.
