Abstract
Este artigo avalia o impacto da gestão governamental do estado do Ceará nos indicadores educacionais, de cunho quantitativo e qualitativo, referentes ao ensino médio, no período de 2007 a 2014. Para tanto, utilizou-se o método de controle sintético. Uma análise descritiva mostrou uma evolução contínua do estado do Ceará, permanecendo acima da média da região Nordeste. O estado, a partir de 2009, ultrapassa a média nacional, permanecendo acima até o fim do período considerado. Na abordagem qualitativa, destaca-se o rápido crescimento entre 2011 e 2014, de modo que o Ceará, anteriormente abaixo, acompanha o desempenho nacional. Em suma, a partir dos resultados, conclui-se que a intervenção analisada, a gestão do governo do estado do Ceará de 2007 a 2014, apresentou bom rendimento na educação, tanto quantitativamente quanto qualitativamente.

This paper evaluates the impact of the governmental management of the State of Ceará on the educational indicators, of quantitative and qualitative nature, referring to high school, in the period from 2007 to 2014. We use the synthetic control method. The descriptive analysis shows a continuous evolution of the Ceará which remained above the average of the Northeast region. From 2009 the state of Ceará surpasses the national average, and it remains above until the end of the analyzed period. About the qualitative approach, we highlight the rapid growth from 2011 to 2014 in which the state of Ceará, previously positioned below, catches up the national performance. In short, from the results we have concluded that the analyzed intervention, the governmental management of the State of Ceará from 2007 to 2014, had presented good results on education in both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
